Anyone who pays any attention to the internet or the media has probably heard of Twitter. Most of whom are utterly confused about its existence. If you update your status on Facebook a few times a day or just hate Facebook altogether, then you might be better suited to the crazy world of Twitter.
So what is Twitter? Limited to 140 characters, each update is called a ‘Tweet’. You’ll be familiar with the limit if you’ve ever texted another human being. You can reply to a Tweet by mentioning their Twitter name in your own tweet, you can do this by inserting an @ symbol before their username. For example: “@hazardousink Yeah, I agree – everyone should use Twitter!”
Everyone uses Twitter for a different reason. Personally, I think it’s great place to vent when you don’t want all of your Facebook friends to see. Most people decide to make their Tweets public, but you can also change your privacy settings to make sure only your followers see what you have to say. There are also thousands of websites adding features to Twitter, so there is something for everyone.
So if you are bored of Facebook being slow, bloated and unoriginal; then sign up to Twitter and follow me here.
And you get to update your status way more often and it be accepted!
